Accessibility Support
This website has been designed to be accessible and usable for as many people as possible. The following information is intended to make navigation and interaction easier.
Keyboard Navigation
The entire website can be used without a mouse, using only the keyboard:
- Pressing the Tab key moves the focus from one interactive element (such as links or buttons) to the next.
- Pressing Shift + Tab navigates in the opposite direction.
- A focused element is activated by pressing the Enter key.
The video below shows how to use the website using only the keyboard.
Orientation Aids
When the Tab key is pressed for the first time, a special link (“Skip to content”) appears. This allows users to jump directly to the main content area. This feature is particularly helpful for users of screen readers or those with motor impairments.
Using Screen Readers
The website is structured to work well with screen readers:
- Headings follow a clear, logical order.
- Links and buttons have descriptive labels, making their purpose understandable when read aloud.
- Images and graphics that convey important information include alternative text.
Contrast and Text Size
Strong color contrasts have been chosen to ensure readability. Font sizes are optimized for comfortable reading across various devices. Text can be enlarged using the browser’s zoom function without loss of content or usability.
Language Versions
All content is available in both German and English. A version in plain language is currently not provided.
